Corporate and Programme sites for Television Corporation

Challenge:For Television Corporation to further support its TV programmes with online media to provide further channels for sales, marketing and Commerce to both broadcasters and the general public.

Benefits:The Corporation dramatically raised awareness of its brand and range of programmes Opened up new channels for Sales and now exploits new revenue streams. The Corporation is now better able to market both merchandise and new programmes to a huge audience.

Project Requirements:To develop and implement a range of websites to support Television Corporations brand and variety of Television services within a global market.

The Azura Solution:We worked with all members of staff involved from the directors to producers to provide solutions to meet the various and quite different needs and create a sense of joint ownership. The following are some of the sites we produced for them:

Corporate: The Television Corporation is the UK';s leading independent supplier of programmes to broadcasters worldwide. The group combines two of the UK's most respected production companies, Mentorn and Sunset+Vine, with two of the UK's largest production facilities companies, Molinare & Visions. The group's website reflects the brand and group relationships. We worked within a team of five and were responsible for all the Flash elements which needed to be produced within a very short timescale for the corporate site.

Robot Wars: We became involved with the website after its original design and worked on branding elements, marketing pop ups, additional copy, photography, forum administration, competitor databases and implemented E-Commerce functionality. The site doubled in size and attracted 30,000,000 pageviews/month. The E-Commerce part of the site alone generated £800,000 of sales per year.

Mentorn: Mentorn are the largest production company within Television Corporation. The brief was to produce a site within the group style that would provide information on all the main programmes, people and aims of the company. In addition we needed to include a schedule database to promote all Mentorn programming in advance of the broadcast dates.

International Sales: The International Sales division of Television Corporation PLC required a content and document management system to sort and serve information and documentation on over 300 television formats each year to multiple broadcasters, advertisers and territories in the UK and global.

We developed a system to serve the archives and enable the department to manage their online content so that it was always up to date and relevant whilst preserving and enforcing the brand and production values of Television Corporation.

The system was designed to be simple and intuitive and required little training to get off the ground and functioning. The Project was a great success and served the corporation for several years, supporting their sales team with live information and documentation.
